Lumpwood Charcoal is a high quality charcoal.
It is easy to light and maintains a good cooking heat. You can depend on Lumpwood charcoal to get your barbecue off to a great start.

Cooking Care:
Always wash hands thoroughly - whether handling raw or prepared foods before eating.

Raw meats can contain harmful bacteria and should be separated from cooked and prepared foods

Barbecued food may look well cooked when it isn't.
Burgers, sausages and chicken should be cut open and checked. If necessary continue cooking.

Lighting Instructions:
Open all vents on the grill.

Place the Lumpwood charcoal on the grill

Place a suitable amount of firelighters in between the charcoals. Using a match or butane lighter, light the firelighters.


Soak the whole surface of the Lumpwood charcoal with lighter fluid ( at least 1/2 a cup equivalent ) Leave to soak in. Using a match or butane lighter, light the charcoals.

NEVER add lighter fluid or other flammable liquids to a lit barbecue and
NEVER put the lid on the grill before the flames have died out.

When the flames die down and the Lumpwood charcoal turns grey or glows ( afetr about 15 minutes ) arrange the Lumpwood charcoal as desired using a long handles BBQ grill tool.

You are ready to cook ! Enjoy

Tightly close the bag of remaining Lumpwood and store in a dry safe place.

Safety Instructions:

WARNING harmful fumes may accumulate without adequate ventilation. NEVER use indoors or in a confined space.

WARNING: NEVER add gasoline, Kerosene or alcohol when lightingor cooking.
Always place your grill on a hard, non combustible level surface.
Make sure ashes are completely extinguished before discarding.
Discard the ashes in a responsible manner. Help protect the enviroment.
Store the bag away from heat and open flame.
Store in a dry and well ventilated area.

Burning charcoal inside can kill you.
It gives off carbon monoxide, which has no odour.
NEVER burn charcoal inside homes, vehicles or tents.
